As a part of establishing a Smart Factory of the Future in the U.S., we are now recruiting Surface Mount Assembly Technical Lead. The Lead will mentor and lead a team of operators that will operate SMT equipment and produce boards to be used in 5G radios. The chosen candidate will participate both in new product introductions and in volume production. Other meaningful aspects of the position include participating in the continuous process improvement to drive ever-improving quality and efficiency within the production environment.

Perform SMA operations according to standardized work instructions and maintain production and quality standards as needed. Lead a team that operates SMA and test equipment to produce circuit boards according to standardized workmanship Check machine readiness and conduct continuous monitoring of machine operations Ensure the right components are used in production
To be successful in the role, you must have:
Check the conformity of products by performing basic quality auditing, testing, and troubleshooting functions- Clean the SMT machine, tools, and equipment
- Implement identified improvements
- Participate in knowledge sharing and learning
- Participate / present in the production meetings
- Have the ability to plan, organize and successfully manage tasks, assignments and projects that have been assigned
- Finding and implementing improvements
- Securing fulfilment of production plan
- High School Diploma (required), relevant technical education and IT skills (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in a SMT/SMA production environment
- Previous management experience preferred
- Mentor and lead direct reports
- Monitor production flow and equipment readiness
- Familiarity with Electro-static Discharge precautions
- High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate optimally with management and colleagues
- Team-player, proactive, committed to providing high-quality work
- Ability to work overtime and/or flexible shift hours when required
