Responsibilities
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 0600-1600 - 8, 9 or 10 hour shifts depending on the departments needs
No Holidays or Weekends!
Job Specific Responsibilities and Tasks: Duties may include but are not limited to:
Core Duties:
- Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.
- Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate.
- Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders.
- Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
- Assist in rehabilitation of patients.
Additional Duties:
- Provide therapeutic treatment and evaluation of patients in the Family Advocacy Program dealing with domestic violence, physical, and/or sexual abuse.
- Work closely with clinical staff and/or base personnel regarding patient awareness of mental health wellness programs (addictions, stress management, group therapies).
- Perform clinical evaluations including administration and interpretation of psychological, neuropsychological, cognitive and personality tests, and provide clinical consultation regarding selection of psychological tests.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
- Education: Graduate from an American Psychology Association accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
- Internship/Residency: Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.
- Experience: As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the Service-specific credentialing instructions.
o Possess a minimum of two years postgraduate experience within the last 3 years as a Clinical Psychologist.
o Possess a minimum of six months experience within the past two years treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
o Possess a minimum of six months experience within the past two years in adjunct therapies to include but not limited to Neuro-feedback.
* Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
* Life Support Certification: Possess a current AHA OR ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.

Pay: $70.00 - $105.00 per hour
