Overview and Essential FunctionsThe Director of Procurement plays a crucial role in managing and enhancing the procurement activities of the organization. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:

Supplier Management:
- Identify, assess, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and high-quality supply chain.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the procurement team.
Cost Optimization:
- Implement cost-effective procurement strategies to achieve savings and improve the overall financial performance of the organization.
- Conduct regular cost analyses and market assessments to identify opportunities for savings and efficiency.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure procurement processes comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, ensuring a secure and reliable supply chain.
QualificationsWho we're looking for...
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 10 years of related work experience.
- Previous supervisory and/or managerial experience.
- Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
