Responsibilities:
- Prepare and splice fiber optic cables with precision and accuracy.
- Operate technical equipment, including OTDRs and fusion splicers, to test and troubleshoot issues.
- Interpret and analyze fiber matrices and related data to ensure optimal functionality.
- Work in a variety of settings, including aerial lifts, confined spaces, and outdoor environments.
- Complete daily reports and documentation for completed projects.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with fiber optic cables, splice enclosures, and telecommunications networks.
- Experience with hand tools, ladders, and construction equipment is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical data with high accuracy.
- Comfort working in physically demanding conditions, including lifting, climbing, and confined spaces.
- A focus on safety and quality in every task.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in fiber splicing or telecom construction (preferred, but not required).
- Proficiency with telecom equipment such as OTDRs, aerial lifts, and fiber meters.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Please note: this role requires the ability to differentiate between specific color-coded materials accurately
