We are seeking a well-qualified professional for the position of Accountant II in the Clerk’s Comptroller Division. The candidate should have considerable knowledge of accounting standards and principles and be able to perform moderate to complex accounting processes. All work will be performed under the supervision of the Accounting Supervisor, Finance Manager, or Clerk of Court.
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field with accounting concentration, and a minimum of five (5) years of experience performing professional level accounting work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required competencies to perform the job.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Candidate must be familiar with governing laws and principles that impact the maintenance and reporting of financial records. Possess the ability to apply accounting theory coupled with sound independent judgment. Candidate must have the ability to perform data analysis and research, prepare, analyze, verify, and maintain a variety of moderately complex financial records; compile data and prepare reports; and communicate effectively in oral and written form. Candidate must also be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite programs and ability to learn proprietary systems.
