An incumbent in this position is responsible for maintaining the protection and security of data.
Under the direction of the Information Technology Infrastructure Manager, the Information
Technology Infrastructure Coordinator will lead the Server/Storage team and is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the availability and configuration of physical and virtual servers, including storage area networks as well as network attached storage, applications, and/or related systems for the Departments and Divisions of the
Escambia County Board of County Commissioners.


EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Serves as the Global Site Administrator for Office 365, the primary E-Discovery Global Administrator for compliance with the Florida Sunshine Law, and the primary Administrator for Cell Phone Text Message Archiving System

Configures and maintains Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) data center server platforms

Manages and administers Microsoft SQL Server, including database support

Monitors servers to ensure a constant state of readiness and limited downtime

Performs and maintains data and system back-ups, including implementing optimal server backup strategies

Deploys, maintains, and customizes Active Directory, SQL, SharePoint, and Office365 environments

Implements and maintains Storage Area Networks, VMware hypervisor environments in a hype converged environment and the Servers, both physical and virtual

Develops and maintains comprehensive systems documentation

Designs reliable, high quality solutions to client technical priorities

Sets and communicates the technical operational standards for server and storage administration through the organization

Troubleshoots escalated issues that are server, storage, or virtualization related

Sets and implements group policy standards throughout the domain and forest levels

Prepares a variety of technical documentation, procedures, and reports for knowledge base use, as needed

Documents the technical aspects of the BCC Server and Storage aspects showing deployed configurations

Upgrades existing equipment and builds new equipment as required

Performs other duties as assigned


TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Training and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Security or Business Administration or related field and a minimum of three years experience in Infrastructure, Servers, and Storage technology or related fields; or, a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements

Licenses and Certifications:
Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Nutanix SANs
Certification by an industry recognized organization, i.e. Microsoft MCSE: Core Infrastructure, Microsoft MCSA: Office 365, MCSA: Windows Server 2016, VMware Certified Associate VCA, VMware Certified Professional VCP, or VMware Certified Advanced Professional VCA
Knowledge of HIPAA and CJIS security requirements
Experience managing Active Directory and creating or modifying Active Directory Group Policies version 2012 or higher
Experience building, deploying, and managing Windows Servers, both physical and virtual, using vCenter Server and VMware ESXi version 6.5 or higher
Experience managing Server backups using various Backup technologies and managing Deduplication Backup Appliance
Experience managing Storage Area Networks

Emergency Management Responsibilities:
During emergency conditions, the incumbent of this position will automatically be considered an emergency service worker. This employee is subject to being called to work in the event of a disaster, such as a hurricane, or other emergency situation and is expected to perform emergency service duties, as assigned.


Physical Requirements:

Positions in this class typically require: talking, hearing, seeing, finger and hand dexterity, and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
