We perform all types of civil construction such as earthwork, utilities, concrete flat work, and concrete structures for both private and public clients. ESCO enjoys tackling diverse and challenging projects throughout Colorado and the surrounding states.

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join our team of professionals.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Heavy Civil Estimating, be organized, motivated, detail-oriented and driven. Responsibilities and Job Duties:

  • General knowledge of project search databases.
  • Communicate with partners and team members regarding new and current projects.
  • Attend pre bid meetings and bid openings as required.
  • Ability to read civil construction plans and specifications.
  • Ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs in a timely manner utilizing Agtek suite.
  • Solicit subcontractors and suppliers and evaluate their proposals.
  • Prepare civil self-perform estimates in detail utilizing HCSS Heavy Bid software.
  • Manage bid pricing from all vendors and subcontractors.
  • Assist in preparation of technical proposals.
  • Prepare cost analysis of past projects and compare to current estimates.
  • Must be able to work as a team and communicate well internally and externally.
  • Ability to critically think and problem solve as a team member and an individual.


Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience in heavy civil estimating is required.
  • Engineering or CM degree a plus but not required. Relative experience is acceptable.
  • Experience with estimating projects above $5 million dollars is required.
  • Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid or similar estimating software is required.
  • Experience with takeoff software such as Agtek, Carlson or Trimble is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite is required.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 is a plus.
  • Experience with Spectrum Accounting software a plus.

  • Position starting wage: Salary Range $95,000-$125,000. Paid weekly.
