Job Summary
Provides strong leadership, develops and implements Environmental, Health and Safety, EHS, Security planning, Quality Management, and execution while maintaining a solid customer relation with the site EHS and Security management team for the account.
- Provides strong leadership and direction in the implementation of the company’s EHS and quality goals, policies and directives per the contracted scope of work.
- Works directly with the company account EHS Manager, Facility EHS Business Partner and Customer EHS staff to plan, analyze and assess compliance for purposes of maintaining existing programs and developing future EHS strategies.
- Evaluates and analyzes incidents and related trends on the account and works to establish root causes and implements associated preventative measures.
- Oversees the management of work-related incidents on the account and the application of cost containment measures where appropriate.
- Oversees site EHS audits and inspections to evaluate EHS program effectiveness and compliance on the account. Works with facility operations and account safety professionals to develop and implement actions to improve site safety and environmental performance.
- Oversees strict subcontractor adherence and compliance to the company and customer EHS requirements and specifications.
- Oversees the development and implementation of all EHS training for the account.
- Provides strong working experience with, but not limited to, LOTO, fall protection, electrical safety, permit-to-work applications, hazardous waste management, hearing conservation, confined space entry, emergency action planning, chemical product management, walking-working surfaces, ergonomics, food and kitchen safety, mail services, etc.
- Ensure proper functionality of client security systems (CCTV, Access Control).
- Track performance of all team members, security providers, and systems via measurable KPIs.
- Participate in self led and client led audits and provide valuable and actionable feedback.
- Provide reasonable and need based plans for improvement and program growth to the client with an emphasis on ROI analysis.
- Track and manage safety/security incidents through client systems, company systems and third-party provider systems.
- Respond to incidents and perform investigations and Root Cause Analysis within the client expectations and requirements.
- Update and manage critical call tree for staff references
- Ensures all EHS and Quality contractual obligations and customer expectations are being met.
- Manage quality management systems to provide data to be used for KPI scoring.
- Ability to represent data in a presentable manner to be presented to the client on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental/Safety Engineering or related field such as Industrial Safety, Safety Sciences or Environmental Science is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of general industry work experience in the safety, quality and environmental fields.
- Experience in management of on-site and off-site third-party vendors.
- Must have strong general industry experience and preferred advanced certification (CIH, CSP, CHMM, etc.).
