Job Posting for Project Architect/Manager at ESI Construction
Overview: ESI’s Project Architect (APA2) must ensure that the building design team is working effectively and maintaining the project schedule and budget. This involves reviewing work products and communicating any needs and concerns to project team members. The Project Architect must also write reports to keep the client informed about the status of the project.
Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor design teams to achieve project objectives.
Evaluate building design specifications and project plans to approve or recommend changes in design.
Evaluate project for compliance with applicable building and municipal codes. • Submit permit ready documents to local jurisdiction.
Track jurisdictional permit comments and responses as required to obtain final permit approval. Coordinate and track consultant responses and submittals.
Review and coordinate consultant project plans to assure quality and consistency between project disciplines.
Coordinate and assign job duties to staff to ensure smooth work operations.
Select suitable materials for an architectural project.
Proffer recommendations to clients on the materials proposed for project.
Participate in presentations for the management/coordination of a project.
Ensure proper building design documentation of all project information for reference and reporting purposes.
Requirements:
Minimum of 8 years prior work experience within a related field.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or equivalent.
Proficient in Autocad/Revit.
Experience with entitlements and due diligence is preferred, but not required.
Experience with industrial master planning and site planning is preferred, but not required.
Demonstrated experience in leading deliverables and work of consultant team.
Demonstrated experience in managing the work of others.
Licensed or certified professional.
Well-rounded knowledge base.
Ability to define and develop project documentation.
Demonstrated understanding of building codes and building systems
Travel
Occasional travel to remote office buildings or job sites as needed.
