What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Integration Producer II position at ESPN?
The Associate Integration Producer II (Content Integration) will be assigned for semi-routine live single-source, studio integrated, domestic and International events. They will be responsible for the on-air management of all programming content, anticipates all possible situations, and develops strategic responses to everyday scheduled, non-scheduled and competitive programming while adhering to ESPN brand strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains the integrity for the on-air product on all ESPN networks, making all necessary programming and network-level editorial decisions.
- Assigned to the control room for high-profile, studio-integrated events and complex regionalized events. (i.e., women’s NCAA tournament)
- Remains current on standard operating procedures for individual sports as well as sport rules that can impact the editorial integration of assigned event and/or network. Understands the “Story of the Day” for each event by utilizing available resources (i.e. ENPS, Internet) on a daily basis.
- Interacts with studio and remote producers, coordinating producers, directors and programmers on a daily basis relaying editorial decisions and other essential information as it pertains to each individual’s area of responsibility.
- Functions as the Content Manager for high-profile studio integrated events. Acts as the liason between event production and studio wraps. Responsible for the execution of all cut-ins, sponsored elements, advancers and show to show transitions.
- Assumes various on and off-line projects as assigned and/or approved by department management, providing progress reports, target date for completion and follow-up.
- Prepares daily reports for each specific network, documenting decisions affecting scheduled programming/ content for department-wide distribution.
- Attends specific sport or project meetings when assigned by department management, providing input from a Content Integration perspective and follow-up.
- Possesses a solid understanding and maintains a positive relationship with other departments that work closely with Content Integration.
- Provides feedback and follow-up of personnel concerns to department management. Provides input for staff evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Understanding & knowledge of sports as well as US based events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years television production experience.
- Has worked in a live production environment.
- Experience working with multiple units to deliver product.
Required Education:
College degree in communications or related field.
