JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Manager is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the clinical floor at assigned Center and to provide general nursing care to the patients. Must be able to work independently to provide safe, accurate, and clinically competent care to patients.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate daily staffing at the Center; if in need of staff, communicate with other Clinical Leads and/or the Director of Clinical Services to assist in staffing needs
- Work with Center Manager at site to ensure efficient care of patients
- Travels to other sites as directed (e.g., School based cottages, other True Health Centers, etc.) to work, and/or to evaluate, assess, and support clinical operations
- Oversee and assist to maintain efficient patient flow daily
- Maintain all emergency equipment at site in all clinical departments
- Maintain and compile all logs site in all clinical departments monthly
- Maintain all AAAHC requirements for the clinical floor
- Supervise VFC ordering and monitoring at site
- Monitor equipment on site and place appropriate tickets for maintenance as needed
- Supervise ordering of supplies at site in all clinical departments
- Keep calendar of all PTO at site for Nursing/Medical Assistant staff
- Perform chart audits and monitor desktops on a daily basis
- Run Pap Smear reports biweekly and work with nursing staff to ensure that all patients have been taken care of accordingly
- Monitor lab fax drive daily for any exceptions or critical labs
- Monitor timekeeping daily and approve staff clock-ins and clock-outs; Approve timecards bi-weekly for payroll
- Review and sign appropriate forms for staff and send up to Director of Clinical Services including CME requests, Uniform requests, Mileage Reimbursement, etc.
- Round on all units multiple times per day and observe and assist patient flow
- Be the TEAM leader at the site, who can answer or find the answer to any daily issues
- Adhere to Universal Precautions at all times
- Be the liaison for EMR/PM in the clinical aspect at site
- Serve as a role model for Nursing/Medical Assistant staff through professionalism and teamwork
- Respond to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures and protocols within the scope of nursing practice
- Communicate with the Director of Clinical Services regarding any staffing issues that need to be addressed
- Relay information and educate staff as needed
- Other responsibilities as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Current Florida License for LPN/RN, active and in good standing
- Current CPR certification
- Previous supervisory experience desired
