The personal training director promotes personal training packages and recruits, hires, and develops certified trainers. In addition, a PTD provides fitness education and accountability to new and current members while matching the member up with the best personal training package and fitness specialist to meet their needs, schedule, and budget.
To be successful as a personal training director, you should demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and ensure that the personal training staff comply with company policies and guidelines. Ultimately, a top-performing PTD should be able to achieve excellent customer service at all times.
-Continually meeting or exceeding sales quotes.
-Making phone calls and scheduling appointments for potential PT clients.
-Touring guests around our health club.
-Helping sell membership, personal training, and other amenities.
-Ensuring that the facility is clean and well-maintained at all times.
-Building and maintaining good working relationships with customers.
-Identifying opportunities and strategies to increase sales.
-Regularly attending production meetings and training sessions.
-Managing and motivating your assistant and trainers to perform at a high level.
-Room for promotions and rapid growth within the company.
-Helping clients achieve results safely and more efficiently by providing them with fitness knowledge through the sale of our education and accountability programs.
-Focusing on client maintenance, retention, and the back end of the PT business.
