As a product manager you will be on a team responsible for creating, building, and growing this worldwide SaaS-based system and services.
The successful candidate will have proven knowledge of ArcGIS Online, customer workflows and a strong desire to develop product management expertise. Your emphasis will be on customer interaction, being the product expert, building team relationships, and influencing the product’s development priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and communicate how customers are using the product and new problems we can solve with innovative features and workflows that drive value in the product
- Represent ArcGIS Online as the product expert on social media platforms including Esri Community, Twitter, and LinkedIn
- Monitor and synthesize customer and stakeholder requirements from various feedback channels and share with the development team to collaborate and prioritize on the product’s roadmap
- Communicate the vision of ArcGIS Online and its positioning at conferences and events
- Organize and coordinate key conference agendas and staff assignments
- Manage and communicate the product’s roadmap to customers and internal stakeholders
- Manage and implement the ArcGIS Online Early Adopters Community to gain early feedback on new features
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as global business development, the partner network, distributors, and product marketing to develop and execute go-to-market strategies and generate demand for the product
- Write technical papers and assist with generation of marketing materials and social media marketing including blogs
- Provide product expertise with key customers to understand their business needs and assist with mission critical projects
- Ensure internal launch readiness for product updates with sales, technical support, customer service, and training
- Ability to research customer problems and synthesize into product requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Capability to effectively document and verbally communicate market requirements to engineering team
- Ability to cultivate strategic relationships with customers and partners
- Keen interest in customer experience and research to identify the right problems to solve with ArcGIS Online
- Ability to work well with remote management and staff across various departments
- Self-motivated, organized, creative, and team-oriented
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Bachelor’s or higher in a technical field or business
- Technical expertise of ArcGIS Online, web services, and SaaS
- Experience in GIS, Web GIS, and location-based content
- Experience and certifications with product management framework, like Pragmatic, etc.
