Ess-a-Bagel is looking for a Baker to join their growing team! Ess-a-Bagel is a family-owned business with over 40 years plus of providing New York City with the number one bagel.

BAKER RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Proficiency in proper baking technique and skills
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and completely
• Ability to stand for entirety of your shift
• Familiar with variety of kitchen tools and equipment especially Rotator Ovens is a plus.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the job, including: o withstanding varying conditions of a working kitchen, especially heat. o standing and working on their feet for the entirety of their shift o having the ability to lift 20lbs
• Punctuality
• A positive and professional attitude, always willing to help your team
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas, adhering to New York City Sanitation and Health Regulations
• The ability to follow company policy

EXPERIENCE:

• Willing to develop and train the right candidates
• Previous experience in Food and Beverage Industry a plus
