Join our CAD Design Team!
Designing custom programs to ensure that our machine operators can cut, punch, and bend sheet metal into parts to meet the needs of our customers and industry. Collaborating as a team, the CAD team develops standard and ad-hoc programs to ensure quick and accurate fabrication for our in-house production of Power Distribution Centers and Switchgears.
As an CAD Designer you will:
• Have experience and working knowledge of the use of CAD and 3D Modeling software
• Have experience turning Designs, Fabrication, and Assembly drawings into usable CAD programs
• Have experience with the operation of various punch, press brake, and laser-cutting machines to deliver CAD/CAM programs for timely and accurate fabrication
• Have experience ensuring final Bill of Materials are complete and providing them to procurement
• Have manufacturing experience with sheet metal and structural steel
• Have experience collaborating and coordinating in a team environment across various internal departments, customers, and other organizations involved in large projects
A successful candidate for this role will:
• Three or more years design experience
• Associates Degree in Manufacturing Technology or similar discipline
• Certificate in CAD/CAM design
• Have experience creating programs for CNC machines, including press brakes, Trumpf Tru-Punch, and laser cutters
• Have experience with Fabriwin, AP100, Trunest, or similar CAD/CAM software
