Job Posting for Compliance Specialist at Essayon Progress Management
We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Manager to join our team. The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of our projects adhere to prevailing wage laws, Minority and Women's Business Enterprise (MWSBE) regulations, and Section 3 requirements. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of labor laws, government contracting requirements, and a passion for promoting diversity and inclusion in the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
Oversee compliance with prevailing wage laws at the federal, state, and local levels, including monitoring wage rates, record-keeping, and reporting requirements.
Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with MWSBE regulations, including identifying qualified minority and women-owned subcontractors and suppliers, tracking utilization goals, and facilitating outreach and networking opportunities.
Manage Section 3 compliance efforts, including outreach to low-income residents for job opportunities, monitoring training and employment efforts, and maintaining records for reporting purposes.
Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and government agencies to address compliance issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
Stay up-to-date on changes to regulations and requirements related to prevailing wages, MWSBE, and Section 3, and ensure company policies and procedures remain in compliance.
Conduct internal audits and reviews to assess compliance with all applicable regulations and identify areas for improvement.
Provide training and support to staff members and subcontractors on compliance requirements and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction compliance, with a focus on prevailing wages, MWSBE, and/or Section 3 requirements.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to labor standards, minority and women-owned businesses, and economic development programs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with compliance software preferred.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional) a plus.
