Job Summary

The Accounting Manager has broad ranging responsibilities in all aspects of Accounting Operations and is responsible to handle communications between the different parts of the accounting department and other external parties. This role combines analysis and reporting along with hands-on to coordinate and assist with management of supply chain, payroll, bookkeeping and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Director of Accounting and other members of the accounting department to compile, analyze, and report data.
• Reconciliation of bank transactions
• Assist with preparation of monthly closing and financial reports.
• Act as a point of contact between internal departments and accounting, serve as a liaison between accounting and external parties.
• Enter/review information in company files or databases, ensuring that all records are complete and accurate.
• Monitor disbursement of payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws
• Develop and coordinate automated accounting applications and processes
• Special projects including but not limited to audits and reviews.
• Perform additional duties assigned by management

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 5 years’ experience in a role of similar capacity
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including experience in v-lookup and pivot tables.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, time management, problem-solving, and math skills.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.
• High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency, especially when multitasking.
