Job Description:
This summer internship is a rotational program that will support multiple areas across the organization including Environmental Services, Nutrition, Linen Services, Registration, Operations, and more. Under the direction of department staff and leaders, this individual will support multiple projects and tasks across the Aurora campus and have the opportunity to learn from different staff and leaders about rural healthcare, healthcare careers, patient relations, and other areas of interest as indicated by the selected candidate. This position is full time over the summer. Preference will be given to candidates in the Mesabi East school district. Candidate must be either a Junior or Senior in high school or a first or second year college student working towards a degree in healthcare, business, or a related field.
Education Qualifications:

- Are a junior or senior level student in high school (or a freshman or sophomore in college) in Aurora or the surrounding areas
- Are a student in the Mesabi East School district (or surrounding area school district)
- Have a strong interest in healthcare and want to learn more about what careers are available in healthcare

- Are self motivated and want to spend the summer learning from healthcare professionals and growing your professional skills
Summer Health Care Internship Program (SHCIP) Requirements:
- Must have completed your junior or senior year of high school in Minnesota and intend to complete graduation requirements. -OR-
- You must be a post-secondary student enrolled in a Minnesota educational institution or be a resident of Minnesota enrolled in an out-of-state program. Post-secondary students must be enrolled in a two or four year health care degree program with the intention of completing the program.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
No certification/licensure required.

The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, FTE, as well as internal equity among our team.
