BRIEF SUMMARY OF ROLE
Warehouse Associates accurately process both inbound and outbound orders. Receiving, shipping, inventory control, packaging, etc. as needed to serve our customers.
MAIN FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Picks product(s) from warehouse locations according to computer generated pick list
· Inspect customer orders for quality, quantity, color, dimension, etc.
· Package and label orders for shipment
- Weigh packages to calculate and record shipping charges on manifest
· Process special orders and/or orders with special shipping instructions
· Enters inventory data into computer, and updates computer files
· Move materials and products using forklift trucks and/or other mechanical means
· Assists others locating and retrieving inventory
· Assist others backtracking orders or otherwise resolve problems relating to shipping
· Regular, consistent attendance
- Assist customers with pick up orders
- Conducts cycle counts of inventoried items
- Re-packaging of incoming product
- General housekeeping
· Other reasonably related duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Working knowledge of warehouse operations
- Basic computer skills

- Attention to detail
- Distinguish similar alpha-numeric sequences in part numbers
- Understand and carry out oral instructions
- Read and carry out written instructions
- Read work orders, purchase orders, graphs, logs, schedules, etc.
- Memorize and retain instructions
- Observe and read instruments, gages, dials, etc.
- Prepare routine memos, records, reports and logs
- Estimate size, form, quality or quantity of objects
- Inspect, examine and observe products for small details and/or defects
- Count, make simple arithmetic additions and subtractions, etc.
- Use measuring devices, such as electronic scales, tape measure, calipers, etc.
- Use hand tools
· Operate warehouse machines and equipment including the following: computer, bar-code readers, label printers, copy machine, forklift, tape machine, heat sealers, calculators, electronic scales, etc.
- Coordinate work activities with others

- Work on several tasks at the same time
- Legible handwriting
· Basic communication and interpersonal skills
· License to operate forklift trucks
- Basic computer, math, counting, reading, and writing skills a must.
