Essilor of America, Inc. (Essilor), is the leading manufacturer and wholesaler of prescription lenses in the United States. We currently have a Master Trainer career opportunity at our Greensboro, NC location.
POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is the primary resource for the Southern - Greensboro, NC Lab that are undergoing the LOFT training implementation. Primary accountabilities include preparing the labs for implementation, coordinating logistics with trainers and LOFT Organization, partnering with the LOFT Organization to validate the process and tools, building organization alignment and preparing labs for its use, and overall ownership of the training program.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Rollout:
Works with Lab Operations Management in the development of the master rollout strategy
Identifying and training Operator Trainers within the lab environment.
Prepares labs by conducting initial interviews, completing diagnostics, etc. to identify and complete prerequisite activities prior to launching LOFT Training
Addresses lab management concerns regarding their specific lab process variance with the curriculum
Coordinates training activities by procuring resources, overseeing logistics and monitoring progress
Attends lab training activities and documents learnings
Maintains communications across labs and to ensure rollout is progressing smoothly
Partners with LOFT Organization to turn pilot learnings into formal changes in training process and documentation
Ongoing:
Partners with the LOFT Organization, lab management and field human resources to manage ongoing training schedule and rollouts
Prepares Operator Trainers to assume ownership of departmental training needs
Partners with LOFT Organization to identify curriculum expansion
Maintains training documentation for new hire and existing employees
Trains employees directly, when necessary
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
3 -5 years experience in the Lab Production environment required
Exposure to Lean Methodology helpful
Must be able to measure and communicate the success of training program
Excel and Microsoft Office Skills
Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
Strong attention to detail and ability to document and follow up and through on project plans required
