POSITION PURPOSE :
The Essilor of America Product Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies and tactics to support the growth of Essilor brand(s). They will work closely with other members of the Marketing organization as well other departments (sales, pricing, operations, supply chain, etc.) to faciliate initiatives to grow the business. The Product Manager will serve as a key member of the Brands team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the development and execution of targeted programs and promotions, and ensure support is provided for any national consumer promotions.

Understand competitive offerings, market trends and how to position and differentiate Essilor’s brand(s) accordingly.

Align with the Global Marketing Team to integrate new product innovations and technology enhancements into the product portfolio.

Facilitate Channel alignment, to ensure that effective communication and growth activation plans are put in place

Ensure that effective collateral and demonstration tools are available to support the Sales Team in effectively positioning and detailing the brand.

Work with partners, analytics team and agencies to measure and report results on all programs (sales, program performance, etc.), and be able to understand the underlying reasons and drivers of sales trends.

Accurate forecasting of sales and product volumes to ensure Supply Chain is appropriately stocked to fulfill demand.

Work with internal teams to develop a comprehensive Trade Media Plan

Identify new and unique ways to leverage PR and Social Media

Championing the brand portfolio internally to make sure all functional areas of the company understand the category and integrate into their plans.

Leverage Market Research to gain insights from Consumers and ECP’s to ensure that the product portfolio addresses consumer needs

Brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to Leadership.

Collaboratively work with agency and outside vendors to develop customized branded content that supports and aligns with brand voice and character ( social media, PR, website, CRM integration, in store collateral, etc.)

Ensure legal compliance with all plans, programs and initatives

Meticulously track and report budget

Travel as required to meetings, trainings, and tradeshows

Conduct special projects as assigned

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Undergraduate degree and minimum 4 years work experience in marketing required; or graduate degree and minimum 2 years work experience in marketing required

Work experience in optical, healthcare or pharmaceutical industry preferred

Strong marketing skills, experience influencing partners a plus

Strong analytical skills including business case modeling and program ROI analysis

Excellent written and verbal communications

Ability to handle multiple projects, set priorities and drive results in a fast paced environment

PC literate including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

Ability to lead and/or work in cross-functional groups

Ability to influence change within the organization

Able to travel up to 30% of the time

Good interpersonal skills

Self-motivated and possesses a strong drive for results
