Data Lead

We seek an experienced Data Lead to oversee a highly skilled technical team. The ideal candidate would be in the Sacramento area and need to be on-site two to three days a week; the other days would be hybrid.

We are looking for an experienced Data Lead to oversee a highly skilled technical team comprising a Data Analyst/Data Modeler, BI Dashboard/Report Developer, and Data Warehouse Administrator/Database Administrator. The Data Lead will guide the team in delivering enterprise data warehouse solutions, ensuring seamless collaboration between technical resources and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in enterprise data warehousing, data frameworks, and data architecture, with excellent communication and facilitation skills to interact effectively with business users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Led a technical team that designed and implemented an enterprise data warehouse solution, ensuring integration across different data management frameworks.
• Oversee the development of conceptual and physical data models, data flow diagrams, and enterprise data management frameworks.
• Facilitate creating and optimizing dashboards and reports using Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) and Microsoft Power BI.
• Guide the development, testing, and implementation of ETL jobs/scripts using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) for efficient data processing.
• Drive the design, documentation, and implementation of robust data management strategies, including data governance, security, and compliance.
• Provide performance tuning, database administration, and data modeling leadership to ensure optimal database and reporting performance.
• Communicate effectively with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Mentor and guide team members to adhere to industry standards and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise data warehousing and data frameworks.
• Proven experience leading teams in data management, data architecture, and business intelligence projects.
• Expertise in designing enterprise-wide data solutions and presenting them to clients.
• Strong understanding of Kimball Dimensional Data Modeling Framework.
• Familiarity with data governance, data security, and privacy regulations.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage technical teams.
