What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Analyst, Portfolio Management position at Estee Lauder?
Portfolio management in R&D is intended to meet overarching objectives: strategic alignment, strategic balance, and maximum return on investment. The Associate Analyst will play a key role in the success of multiple, complex projects, including risk management, project reporting, internal communications, budget, and resource management.
Portfolio management process is characterized by uncertain and changing information, dynamic opportunities, multiple goals, and multiple decision makers. This is a dynamic and high visibility role that requires a proactive attitude to hit the ground running in this very fast-moving environment.
- Organize all Makeup, Skincare, Fragrance and Body Care launches into category calendars with all relevant information by region, subcategory, value etc. – working closely with Brand Lab EDs to keep up to date
- Own Business Critical and Technical Readiness reporting and facilitate meetings with Category VP
- Track and help manage resource allocation of all labs globally via project opening and scope change meetings
- Partner with finance to help estimate and align on future resource allocation and testing expenses by brand based on calendar pipelines
- Manage and track multiple projects, monitoring progress and helping to maintain project schedules to ensure on-schedule development
- Ensure continuity across branded trackers with corporate systems
Enable long term planning with continuous monthly reporting based on current and future pipelines
Qualifications
- Must have strong leadership and relationship building skills
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
- Highly adaptable, curious, and collaborative
- Excellent excel and power point skills for data management and presentation creation
- Skills in programming and data visualization a plus
Technical & business understanding of consumer products, preferably Beauty (Cosmetics, Skincare, Haircare) a plus
BS Required, preferred in Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance or Computer Sciences. MBA, MS/MBA is a plus but not required
1 years of experience in R&D, Project Management, or Business Analytics preferred but not required
