Job Summary
EPCS is currently seeking registered Qualified Mental Health Professional-Trainee (QMHP-T), to work with individuals participating in our Mental Health Skill-Building program. This position is responsible for providing clinical one-on-one personalized mental health skill-building services for clients ages 18 years of age and older, who have been diagnosed with a serious mental illness.
The ideal candidate should exemplify professionalism, flexibility, and integrity. Candidates should also possess great communication skills, along with excellent client relation capabilities. Candidates will be responsible for creating and submitting daily Clinical Progress Notes, Monthly Case Management Notes, Quarterly Reports, and assist with Client Service Authorizations, ensuring they meet MCO requirements and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide direct personalized support and skill-based interventions, meeting ISP goals and objectives to Individuals participating in our MHSS program.
- Record client data and submit clinical documentation in a timely fashion
- Provide pertinent information, both written and verbal relating to client documentation
- Attends required clinical supervision
- Assists with individual treatment coordination
- Assist client during the transition with discharge planning.
- Completes other duties as assigned by MHSS Coordinator, while attending mandatory clinical supervisions.
Qualifications and Skills
All candidates must possess a valid Virginia Board of Counseling QMHP-A or QMHP-T Registration
Required Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services/Counseling/Social Work/Psychology related field
Required Experience:
- Possesses a minimum of one year of experience with providing direct clinical care to clients and/or patients diagnosed with a serious mental illness, which may include internships, practicum, or volunteer experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of DBHDS regulations.
- Prior experience with electronic documentation, as well as DMAS and Magellan, is preferred.
- Must be a self-starter, with strong clinical writing skills, verbal communication skills, and computer literacy.
