Job Overview:
The Commercial Hot-Side Technician diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs commercial kitchen equipment: gas, electric, and or steam.
Service My Restaurants (SMR) Service Technicians serve clients in various locations. We work on HOT SIDE and COLD SIDE equipment. We are currently looking for technicians in all areas of Indiana. Service Technicians are our go-to people for any problems our customers may have. We have a wide range of clients that require technicians that can handle a wide range of services. We do HVAC, refrigeration, restaurant equipment repairs, preventative maintenance and equipment installs.
Hot-Side Technician Primary Responsibilities:
- Take regular service calls across a designated region
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen equipment that use gas, electric, and steam to include grills, ovens, fryers, etc.
- Communicates parts order(s) and repair status with customer and or branch office
- Completes service calls accurately and in a timely manner
- Obtain information that address or anticipates the equipment service needs of the venue. Select the appropriate actions to meet and exceed quality service levels for each venue.
- Audits truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked
- Maintains service vehicle, tools, and uniforms consistent with company guidelines
- Meet on-call requirements
Skills, Abilities, and Requirements:
- 1 years’ experience as a Commercial or Industrial Service Technician, or relevant military service; Experience with electrical, gas, and or steam would be a plus
- Ability to work independently
- Journeyman License (KY) and or CFESA certification would be a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to communicate with customers to ensure their understanding of the work being performed
- Basic computer and iPad skills
- Good driving record and valid IN or KY driver’s license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Capable of lifting a minimum of 75 pounds
