POSITION: Maintenance Supervisor
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Perform repair services on all machinery promptly and arrange work schedule to accomplish needed maintenance
- Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair
- Oversee maintenance staff and allocate workload/responsibilities
- Install machinery and all related systems such as electrical, air and water connections, etc.
- Inspect machinery weekly to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and good maintenance procedures
- Implementation of predictive maintenance measures, including infrared noise and vibration analyses, and interpretation of the data
- Develop maintenance schedules and keep maintenance records including downtime, repair costs, etc. for machinery
- Perform maintenance and repair on building and facility systems
- Organize and maintain the Maintenance Department supply and storage area
- Maintain relationships and coordinate maintenance schedules with contractors and outside service providers
- Maintain knowledge of safe working procedures, lock-out-tag-out, etc.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Ensure operations comply with company lean manufacturing initiatives
- Participate in appropriate production and safety team meetings
- Ensure operations comply with ISO 9001 Quality System
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to provide tools needed to perform duties
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in keeping all safety and emergency equipment in good working order as well as maintaining facility safety
- Oversee equipment stock and place orders for new supplies when necessary
- Perform production operations as needed to assist in completing jobs on time
- Oversee maintenance and repair functions on vehicles including company trucks, vans, and forklifts
- Perform other duties as required or assigned by supervisor
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Stand on concrete for long periods of time
- Ability to climb on equipment and ladders
- Ability to work in small/confined spaces
- Ability to lift at least 60 lbs.
- Ability to work in high elevation (such as a lift or ladder)

QUALIFICATIONS *
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in facility management, or a similar field is preferred
- A minimum of two years’ experience in maintenance in manufacturing environment is preferred
- Working knowledge of equipment systems including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.
- Strong knowledge of facilities, machines, and equipment
- Adequate verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise
- Technical competence and adequate computer skills
- Adequate understanding of machine and electrical diagrams
- Experience in 5S principles and lean manufacturing
- Highly motivated and focused; a self-starter
- Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize responsibilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
