Objective:

The Facilities Custodian's primary responsibility is ensuring the cleanliness of the manufacturing facility. We are looking for someone with great communication and organization skills for this role. You will be expected to work in a variety of settings including outdoors, in sterile labs and greenhouses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sweeping, mopping, dusting, stripping, sealing, waxing floors, vacuuming.
• Plow and shovel snow
• Waste Removal
• Garbage Removal
• Cleaning and sanitizing greenhouses
• Cleaning bathrooms
• Cleaning/wiping down kitchen/break room

Competencies:

• Attention to detail required
• Great communication and organization skills
• Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

This is a manual labor position which requires versatility and attention to detail. This position operates within a manufacturing environment and requires daily use of personal protective equipment such as respirators, hair nets, gloves, and goggles.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to use equipment and chemicals in prescribed manner
• Ability to stay alert to potential safety problems.
• Ability to carry out daily custodial checklists independently.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
