Title: CNC Programmer
Location : Mt Clemens MI
Shift : 10 am - 7 pm
Roles & Responsibilities :
Abide by all policies and procedures of Concord Tool & Manufacturing including but not limited to: Code of Conduct, Safety, Attendance, and general work rules.
Attend all regularly scheduled shifts and be available for overtime hours as needed
Perform all assigned duties in a timely effort with integrity and strong effort.
Keep assigned work areas clean and sanitary at all times while containing and reporting all workplace safety hazard or conditions.
Ensure knowledge of and maintain compliance with the Quality Policy of Concord Tool & Manufacturing.
Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Read technical drawings and set up the machines in accordance with these blueprints
Use computer software to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly
Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications
Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality
Consider tools required to cut particular materials and program machines accordingly
Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise
Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening
Train new Team Members on how to properly operate CNC machines and programs
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
At least three years of previous experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
High School Diploma/GED
CNC Programming Certificate/Certification preferred
Must have at least three years previous experience with Mastercam
Must have strong attention to detail
Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise
Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential
Should have a positive and professional attitude
Available to work weekends and overtime as needed
Capable of standing for extended periods of time
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for short periods of time
Preferred Skills
Journeyman Certificate in Tool and Die Repair
Previous experience in training/development of apprentice Tool and Die Makers or CNC Programmers/Operators
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
