WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
The Lineman will be using the in-house aerial trucks and or climbing gear to perform duties of installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of Telecommunications outside plant including fiber, copper, and coax. Daily work will involve traveling to different jobsite locations, survey, plan and execute placing client facilities.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Work within safety and quality guidelines at all times.
- Review blueprints or other plans to determine where and how to place plants.
- Place aerial/underground cable including fiber copper and coax.
- Analyze job locations for utility lines, permitting, and traffic control to complete construction activities without quality defects, safety incidents or any type of property damage.
- Complete daily inspections and reporting of maintenance issues on vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
- Perform service, safety checks, check oil and fluids, and minor repairs on equipment.
- Connects wire and cables to terminals and attaches/detaches various kinds of hardware to wires, cables, buildings, or poles.
- Perform aerial tasks such as but not limited to cable installs, pole transfers, strand buildings, cable hanging, lashing, delashing, setting anchors, guywires etc.
- Ability to climb utility poles proficiently in heights up to and exceeding 40 ft and use aerial lift to place cables/wire/hardware on poles per customer specifications.
- Perform construction work such as digging holes and placing duct to poles.
- Strive for optimal production while working safely and performing quality work.
- Ensures all work is performed to quality standard while always complying with proper safety standards/procedures and work practices/policies & procedures according to EPC and OSHA/ANSI standards.
WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
- CDL is a plus
- Knowledge of reading prints.
- Working knowledge of telecommunications preferred.
- Ability to operate equipment, including, but not limited to power tools, electronic testing equipment, air compressor and heavy equipment such as bucket truck etc.
- Must have the ability to work safely, with or without supervision.

WHAT TO EXPECT
- Outdoors environment which may require exposure to elements, including but not limited to wind, rain, heat, cold, snow, sleet, mud, etc.
- In addition to outdoor work, some office work may be required for reporting and administrative purposes.
- May be required to stand, sit, bend, twist, and reach as part of the job.
- Extended periods of standing on your feet may be required.
- May be required to lift up to 80 pounds.
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, or other job-related pre-hire screenings related to the job.
