The Ethics & Compliance Initiative (ECI) is a strategic alliance between two longstanding and leading nonprofit organizations in the ethics and compliance field: The Ethics Research Center (ERC), a 501 (c) (3) and the Ethics & Compliance Association (ECA), a 501 (c) (6). ECI is dedicated to identifying, amplifying and certifying the practices that result in the highest level of integrity in organizations, worldwide.
This year is an exciting time for the Ethics & Compliance Initiative as we celebrate our Centennial year and raise awareness about our great profession and enshrine a proud legacy for future generations. We are making a major investment into the association and have hired an agency to help develop a new brand identity for our organization. This will be a critical and important role that will assist us in rebranding our entire organization.
ECI is seeking an exceptional communicator with strong project management skills to facilitate the implementation of a new marketing strategy. Our organization has contracted with a third-party marketing firm to provide support for many areas of the Mar/Comm function; this position will serve as a liaison between the third-party and the ECI team. As an integral part of the ECI staff, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in marketing and communications and be passionate about writing, have attention to detail, possess exceptional organizational skills, and manage time and prioritize projects accordingly. This position will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a schedule for the delivery of mid to large-scale projects spanning design, message and content development, digital marketing, and events.
The role will work cross-functionally to prioritize departmental information needs and then translate them into written communications that are tailored to specific audiences. The successful candidate must also be eager to help build and refine a B2B marketing process for a premier non-profit in the ethics & compliance and legal space.
This is primarily a hybrid* position with occasional travel in support of ECI’s in-person events.
You will create and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy for ECI's products, services, and events in conjunction with ECI’s leadership and an external marketing agency/firm. This will involve defining the marketing and communication goals associated with each of ECI’s content areas, and then leading the third-party vendor’s implementation of projects.
You will lead the internal product development lifecycle from concept to execution of the product(s) across all departments. This will involve writing copy for a variety of projects (including print, web, mobile, video, email, and social media), working closely with multiple teams to develop messaging for and across a variety of channels.
You will review written materials for typographical, grammatical, and format errors; ensuring products are of consistent quality and approve for final publication.
You will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of projects. This will involve ensuring that projects are delivered on time, on scope and on budget and providing project management best practices and tactics that align with brand objectives/goals.
You will lead the internal marketing lifecycle from concept to execution of the product(s) across all departments. This will involve working to manage, measure and analyze marketing performance of campaigns to maximize effectiveness.
You will work on the creation of emails in Pardot which includes scheduling various emails, newsletters, and drip campaigns to reach the appropriate segments and lists.
You will work with the Events team to promote monthly virtual events and quarterly in-person events and provide producer support as needed.
You will partner with leaders across departments to oversee the marketing strategy. You will act independently in an editorial capacity.
Due to COVID-19 there are no current travel requirements. When ECI returns to hosting in-person events, some travel may be required.

The employee must be able to take instruction from multiple sources and prioritize appropriately. The employee occasionally will carry materials weighing up to 20 lbs. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate in an office environment.
