Plant Manager - Chemical Process

As the Plant Manager, you will have direct and indirect reports in operations, maintenance, supply chain and engineering.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day functions of the site operations, including:
- Fostering a production environment that is focused on safety and quality initiatives
- Developing, coaching, mentoring and leading direct and indirect reports
- Establishing a Lean culture by identifying process improvements to decrease scrap, increase efficiencies and save the organization money
- Fostering relationships with production staff to attain plant goals and make needed improvements
- Owning the P&L responsibility on a monthly, quarterly and year-end basis, including monitoring expense control
- Monitoring and improving plant analytics, standard operating procedures and production metrics
- Presenting production reports and metrics to the management team
- Assisting with staffing the plant and disciplinary actions
- Improving visual management at the plant level
- Improving ERP processes
- Other duties as directed by management
The company is seeking a candidate that is willing to spend up to 30% of their day on the manufacturing floor.

REQUIREMENTS for the Plant Manager:
1. Bachelor's degree is required; a technical field is preferred
2. At least three years of similar manufacturing operations management experience
3. Experience overseeing direct and indirect reports
4. Strong experience with root cause analysis and countermeasures
5. General understanding of P&L
6. Experience initiating continuous improvement/Lean efforts
7. Mechanical aptitude
8. ERP experience
9. Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel
Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. MBA
2. Lean or Six Sigma certifications
3. Batch and/or blending manufacturing processes
4. Non-union plant supervision
5. Strong financial analysis
6. Experience overseeing multiple facets of manufacturing (production, maintenance, engineering, quality, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
