Production Supervisor (3rd shift)
This Production Supervisor is responsible for meeting production requirements, controlling labor costs, staffing the workplace, assigning staff and fulfilling the requirements of leading, motivating, counseling and developing people. Responsible for putting policies, procedures and training in place to ensure a safe working environment. Act as a management representative on the production floor. Strive to make continuous improvements in production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and manage shift production operations in accordance with the company mission, strategy and profitability objectives.
- Provide work direction, training and standards for production staff.
- Understand and achieve internal and external customer standards for product quality.
- Achieve cost objectives for production processes and manufacturing expenses. Understand and achieve specific targets for delivery of customer product.
- Work on the production floor as needed. Provide leadership and knowledge to continuously improve safety, quality and throughput.
- Organize plant by moving scrap, putting finished goods away.
- Ensure quality of parts is checked and documented.
- Manage direct reports and time reports for all employees.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED is required. Associates degree in Manufacturing Engineering or emphasis in Plastics is a plus.
- Six Sigma Certification desired.
- Experience with 5S, Lean Manufacturing, ISO experience is desired.
- 3 years of manufacturing experience in a supervisory/management role.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a large team and get results.
- Any plastics or molding or rotational molding experience a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
