Senior Quality Manager, Food Manufacturing (on-site, full benefits/bonus package & relocation assistance)
Reports to: Corporate QA Manager
Position Summary: This position is the lead Operations Quality Assurance individual for the Reno production facility. As the plant operations quality leader, this position provides raw material, product, procedural and sanitation expertise along with technical support. Effectively managing the day-to-day quality commitment, as well as various long-term goals and objectives of the company and our customers, defines success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage plant Quality and Sanitation departments, cultivating relationships and putting staff in a position to succeed by establishing meaningful goals
- Ensure timely review of production lot records, SOP/SSOP’s, investigations, corrective actions, change controls, technical documents and adherence to Quality Agreements
- Communicate priorities and work assignments to direct reports ensuring that all work is performed safely, with quality, and in a timely manner
- Lead, manage and/or participate in the investigation of non-conformances and follow-up with corrective/preventive actions in compliance with quality procedures, policies and regulations
- Provide feedback and coaching in technical skill development, job performance and career growth – taking necessary disciplinary actions if necessary
Knowledge, Skills and Responsibilities: Must be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision and work effectively with others as a cross-functional team member. Strong Goal Oriented Supervisory and Delegation Skills are a basic requirement of this Sr. QA Management position which requires the ability to handle multiple competing priorities with sound judgement.
Education and Experience: This position requires a minimum of BS level education directly in a scientific discipline with a MS desirable. Minimum 10 years’ experience in the direct manufacture and/or conversion of cheese products in a supervisory position. Experience with basic dairy laboratory testing methods and reporting is essential. Experience in dealing with Key Customer Contacts is highly desirable. Must be thoroughly familiar with FDA, USDA, HACCP, Organic, Halal, Kosher requirement’s and have actively and successfully lead plant audits to a GFSI (SQF, BRC, etc.) standard.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
