Security Guard

Etnyre International is a growing, family-owned manufacturer of road maintenance, repair and rehabilitation equipment. We are in search of a part-time Security Guard for our Oregon, IL facility. This position is for full-time employment on night shift (4pm-12am), Monday-Sunday.

Basic Functions: Control access to the physical property and monitor the property for unusual or emergency situations. Notify the appropriate entities/individuals immediately.

Major Duties:

• Protects the entire facility and grounds from unauthorized access.
• Follows the Post Orders.
• Monitors the entire facility and grounds for events or situations that require intervention.
• Directs authorized visitors to the appropriate areas.
• Completes shipping and receiving procedures on after-hours or emergency shipments.
• May be required to secure some/all buildings.
• Is punctual and professional at all times.
• Remains on duty at the post until properly relieved.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications: Individual must have a professional appearance and a good attitude in the performance of all duties. Must be able to follow written and verbal direction. Good written and oral communication skills and ability to interact with all individuals in a variety of situations is required.

Physical Requirements: Individual must be able to walk outdoors up to two miles per shift. Must have the ability to climb stairs and be able to change from a sitting to standing position frequently.

Additional Comments: All work will be completed in a timely manner within established quality standards and consistent with company policies, priorities and needs. The individual holding this position has a broad responsibility for carrying out the objectives of the company including supporting all company policies, meeting goas, and working as a contributing team member. Performance will be measured on the function/duties described in the position description, accomplishments during the review period, and the methods/work skills used to achieve the goals.
