The Core Fulfillment group at Etsy creates the most fulfilling fulfillment experience by enabling transparency and trust for our buyers while highlighting the human side of our sellers and their unique items. Our goal is to make global fulfillment on Etsy predictable when it comes to delivery speed, network reliability, shipping cost, tracking and even digital and custom made items. Our many:many marketplace gives us a unique opportunity to utilize data to optimize buyer and seller experiences and ensure the fulfillment promises we make to buyers meet rigorous standards and expectations.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager and the base salary range will be (phone number removed) - (phone number removed) USD per year. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States who are either remote, flex, or office-based. What does the day-to-day look like?
Use machine learning to improve Etsy buyer’s fulfillment and delivery experiences
Use forecasting, operations research, and network optimization to predict and improve Etsy’s delivery performance
Develop models with custom architecture or objective functions that target Etsy-specific problems, including but not limited to revenue optimization, seasonality
Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and designers
