- We have an opening for a CATERING SUPERVISOR position.
- Location: Qualcomm - 3165 Kifer Rd. Santa Clara, CA 95051. Note: online applications accepted only.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6 am - 3 pm.
- Details of Operation: The catering supervisor will support the $200k catering operation and $275k cafe operation on the main campus of a corporate dining operation. They will assist in supervising a team of 6 associates. This is a great opportunity to grow with a new expansion of Santa Clara offices in the next 12-18 months.
- Requirement: This is an entry-level management position. Must have food service experience and 1+ year in a supervisory role required. Strong catering experience highly preferred. Must be customer service oriented and be a good communicator. Some knowledge of financials and culinary/kitchen experience a plus!

Summary: As a Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting the Catering Department in all duties including training new associates, overseeing event set-ups, and directing any temporary personnel in addition to their everyday assignments. You will ensure proper service to clients during events, including proper set-up, cleaning, and breakdown procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises and leads a team of associates to successfully execute events, meeting expected service and quality standards.
- Assists in checking set-ups for regular and special events.
- Ensures client and customer satisfaction.
- Assists in staging catering equipment and beverage for daily events.
- Breaks down events and returns venue to original condition by removing all food, beverage, equipment and garbage.
- Maintains clear understanding of all aspects of VIP services.
- Maintains QA/HAACP standards and procedures.
- Maintains clean and safe work environment; performs job safely.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of food service experience, preferably in a catering role.
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
- Experience in catering events and working with event orders is preferred.
- Experience in supervising and training associates and temporary personnel is preferred.
- Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
