Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant with at least 1-3 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of accounting principles and processes while also having a strong grasp of IT systems and tools. The candidate will be a driving force behind the successful implementation of our new ERP system. This exciting opportunity will allow the candidate to showcase their technical prowess and accounting expertise to transform our financial operations, enhance data accuracy, and streamline business workflows. This position will work closely with the Chief Information Officer and the Chief Financial Officer of the company. This role generally requires a 5-day-a-week presence in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- ERP Implementation Leadership: Take ownership in the ERP implementation project, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, provide training, and ensure successful system deployment.
- Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including sales, inventory, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to create budgets, track performance against financial targets, and contribute to financial forecasting exercises.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the company’s systems and processes by leveraging IT solutions and technologies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to improve data exchange, streamline financial processes, and ensure accurate financial reporting across the organization.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize the new ERP system's reporting features to generate financial reports, extract valuable insights, and support decision-making processes. Utilize advanced Excel skills and accounting software to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide valuable insights to aid in decision-making processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about ERP system updates and enhancements, making recommendations for system optimization and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- At least 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with proven involvement in ERP implementation projects.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, processes, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), and advanced Excel and BI.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
- Exceptional project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration among stakeholders.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
- Familiarity with relevant accounting regulations and compliance requirements.
