Job Description
Our client Occupational Health Clinic is searching for a reliable and qualified Administrative Assistant to manage our clinical and administrative procedures. You will assist in COVID triage via telephone communications, and assisting with contact tracings for positive COVID cases. To succeed in this role you should have in-depth knowledge of medical terminology and proficient computer skills. You will need to be able to handle medical information discretely.
As the healthcare Administrator you will be responsible for creating appointments, maintaining patient records, greeting patients, data entry, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will be professional and courteous, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Position Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and managing patient appointments
- Answering the phone and taking patient questions
- Coordinate with nurses and NPs to identify their issues and needs
- Triage Covid calls and perform contact tracing for positive cases
- Ensure patient medical records are kept up to date
- Inventorying and ordering supplies
Qualifications
- Associate degree in business administration, or related field preferred
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solver with good time-management abilities
- Proven experience with administrative processes is a bonus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Zoom and Powerpoint
- Proficient computer skills
- Good phone etiquette
- Attention to detail with good organization and planning skills

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, from 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to Kalamazoo, MI are encouraged to apply.
