Job Description
Eurofins Environment Testing Northwest, LLC. is searching for a Collection Specialist.
The Collection Specialist is responsible for managing and collecting all outstanding client accounts for multiple business unit located throughout the Pacific Northwest. Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Work can be performed remotely.
Collection Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Monitor and maintain accounts within assigned portfolio as directed by the business unit and following Eurofins collections policies.
Contacts clients via verbal and written communication for payment of past due invoices.
Researches and resolves conflicts that result in the client delaying payment.
Communicates account issues and compiles information for use by business units in making critical client account decisions.
Interacts with business units including Business Unit Manager, Business Controller, Account Executives and Project Managers to resolve client issues.
Maintains current and accurate account notes in collection software.
Works daily follow up queue in collection software.
Notifies the business units of negative payment patterns.
Facilitates and/or attends weekly conference calls specific to collection activity on client accounts.
Assists business units with addition responsibilities related to client service, including the following:
- Completes (new and existing) client required forms and maintains updates through online systems.
- Generates insurance certificates as needed.
- Maintains annual updates on H&S systems (such as Avetta) for clients.
- Performs backup duties for AP work, including investigative analysis on AP reports.
- Provide coding for intercompany work and support with subcontract POs for Project Mangers
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would possess:
- Strong computers and accounting software knowledge (J. D. Edwards, Oracle, GetPaid, Microsoft Office)
- Basic mathematical principles
- Collections policies, procedures and best practices
- Strong scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- AS/AA in Accounting or related field from an accredited school
- Minimum 5 years collections experience
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
