Job Description
- Perform routine histology, including fixed tissue trimming, processing, embedding, sectioning with the highest of quality.
- Perform H&E and special staining; prepare solutions, stains, and reagents according to standard lab practices.
- Effectively collaborate with team members and be a good team player.
- Various administrative duties including archive of blocks and slides.
- Scan stained slides with AT2 scanner and perform data entry.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of histology experience as a histotechnologist in clinical or research setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in oral and written communication, problem solving, adaptability, and teamwork.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Eager to learn new techniques.
- Works independently and troubleshoots technical problems.
- Pay attention to details.
