Job Description
Job Summary
The Metrologist will be a member of the Quality Engineering team supporting the pharmaceutical laboratories. The employee will - Maintain chromatography instrumentation in a validated state at all times. Perform assessment, trouble-shooting, repair. Ensure completion of preventative maintenance, routine testing, and assigned validation testing. Metrologist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist with implementation, commissioning, and system updates/changes
- Provide service and support for analytical chemists
- Trouble shoot, diagnose, and repair system hardware.
- Maintain documents and procedures for the system
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would possess:
- Knowledge of Empower software
- Experience within regulated industry such as pharmaceutical or medical device (prefer GxP knowledge)
- Excellent customer service, communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to research and learn new techniques quickly, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with Liquid or Gas Chromatography
- A degree/certification in science, engineering, computer systems, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one year of education in related major)
- Strong knowledge of MSOffice and Windows OS.
- Experience with technical writing
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
