Job Description
Employee performs tasks that contribute to research, product development, or product testing. Will carry out job function with a reasonably high degree of guidance from a supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execution of experiments and reporting of results.
- Keeps appropriate notes and records compliant with quality system.
- Will help plan experiments
- Analyzes data and writes reports based on experimental work
- Maintains lab equipment and supplies as necessary.
- Works on problems of moderate scope
- Seeks out and leads collaborative efforts
- May be required to supervise new employees and Associate Scientist I
Qualifications
- Typically require a BA/BS; degree - often in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Technology or Life Sciences and 3-5 years of industry experience or MS.
- Basic knowledge in a specialized area, such as Chemistry, that requires a grasp of theories, involved practices and precedents
- Typically will have some practical experience in laboratory experimentation
