What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement – Hardware Buyer position at EV Connect Inc?
In this position you will:
- Execute work scope within prescribed SLAs.
- Issue and track purchase orders with suppliers for business operations.
- Provide world-class service to ensure customer facing team members have the necessary information to keep customers informed of their order status.
- Manage all changes required by customer facing team members and/or suppliers to maintain order progress.
- Manage all supplier issues affection open orders to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Maintain up to date purchase order records in business systems.
- Provide quarterly forecasts to selected Supplier Partners.
- Generate monthly KPI reports.
- Identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
- Support continuous improvement projects as required.
Technical Skills:
- Procurement Process: Understanding of procurement cycles, vendor management and purchasing procedures.
- Supply Chain Management: Basic knowledge of supply chain operations, logistics and inventory management.
- ERP Systems: Experience with Enterprise ERP systems like Netsuite, SAP, Oracle, or other procurement software.
- Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data, generate reports and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is often essential.
- Contract Management: Familiarity with contract terms, conditions, and negotiations.
Soft Skills:
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving: Ability to identify issues, analyze options, and implement solutions efficiently.
- Attention to detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in orders, contracts, and records.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business administration, logistics, engineering or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience of purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting
- Passion for the EV industry.
- Excellent at building and maintaining good relationships with supplier partners.
- Based in Raleigh, NC / Dallas, TX / Los Angeles, CA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the e-mobility industry.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP).
