We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team at our busy automotive shop. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles, ensuring the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify vehicle problems and provide accurate repair recommendations.
- Perform repairs efficiently and effectively, ensuring that all work meets or exceeds industry standards and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Keep detailed records of all services performed on each vehicle, including parts used, labor time, and repair costs.
- Communicate effectively with customers about their vehicle's needs and recommended repairs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification in automotive repair strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficient with the use of diagnostic equipment, including computer scanners and diagnostic software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
