Position Details:

The position is grant-funded through the 2027-28 school year only. This position works 196 days per school year. It is scheduled 5 days per week at 8 hours per day.

$20.80/hr (non exempt)

Employees enrolled in an EVSC medical insurance plan are eligible to use any of the three EVSC Health & Wellness Centers. The health clinics provide primary care services, generic prescription medications, physicals, health screenings, and labs; all at NO COST to the employee or covered family member.

This position will automatically be enrolled in the Public Employees' Retirement Fund (PERF) through the state of Indiana, which includes a defined benefit (Pension) as well as an Annuity Savings Account (ASA). Employees may also participate in a 403(b) Plan. Enrolling in the 403(b) plan allows employees to save for their retirement by making a pre-tax salary deferral contributions to the Plan.

Eligible employees may enroll in the EVSC group life insurance and long term disability plans. EVSC also offers a variety of voluntary insurance products through American Fidelity.

EVSC offers a free Employee Assistance Program (EAP). It is a confidential, voluntary service that provides professional counseling and referral services designed to help employees and their family members with personal, job or family-related matters.


EVSC employees have access to the EVSC Wee Care Learning Centers. The Wee Care program provides a quality early learning experience for employees' children as young as six weeks through age five at a special employee rate.


SUMMARY:

The Program Coordinator will work directly with Full Service Community Schools to oversee implementation of all school based and community partner led strategies to support the needs of students and families. The position maintains accurate program records and reports as well as performs duties as required by the Full Service Community School grants.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.


  • Oversee budget for FSCS Project implementation.
  • Oversee data collection including attendance for all events and programs to be maintained for evaluation and the federal reporting system.
  • Assist in a program implementation model which will provide high quality program delivery, creating linkage to school day offerings and ensure performance measures are met.
  • Monitor site progress against target outcomes and implement improvement strategies as needed.
  • Participate in all external meetings that pertain to FSCS Programs and Community and Family outreach work.
  • Collaborate with principals, teachers, and other school based staff to maintain accurate data across all strategy implementation.
  • Nurture relationships and serve as a liaison between school staff, parents, volunteers and community based organizations.
  • Attend regularly scheduled site council / advisory meetings.
  • Oversee / support monthly family engagement activities which align with FSCS Strategies.
  • Provide assistance on special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain regular attendance.

JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to operate a computer, knowledge of computer programs such as Google, Microsoft Office, etc., as well as work with video and/or audio equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing and ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff, and the school community.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in supervision of after-school non-certified instructors and assistants.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school degree or GED equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree or completed college course work is preferred. Experience in coordinating programs and working with children, as well as knowledge of educational principles is a preferred.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
