GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Works under the direction of Nursing Leadership. Ensures the Medical Assistants function within their scope of practice while maintaining Evara Health standards of patient care and documentation. Serves as a role model for all care team members. Adheres to ethical and professional practices.
STANDARD RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the Mission, Values and Vision of Evara Health

- Supports, cooperates with, and implements specific procedures and programs for:
a. Safety, including universal precautions and safe work practices, established fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and security, reports and/or corrects unsafe working conditions, equipment repair and maintenance needs
b. Confidentiality of all data, including patient, employee and operations data
c. Quality Improvement and compliance with all regulatory requirements
d. Compliance with current law and policy to provide a work environment free from sexual harassment and all illegal and discriminatory behavior
- Supports and participates in common teamwork:
a. Cooperates and works together with all care team members, plans and completes job duties with minimal supervisory direction, including appropriate judgment
b. Remains calm and poised in urgent or stressful situations
c. Follows up as appropriate with supervisor, care team members or patients regarding reported complaints, problems and concerns
d. Promotes positive public relations with patients, visitors and the community
e. Completes requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress codes including personal hygiene

g. Effectively and efficiently completes all duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates knowledge of and compliance with established organizational Policy and Procedures
- Provides health education for patients, families and care team members as needed
- Assists with orientation and training of Medical Assistants and other care team personnel
- Ensures EHR tasks are completed by Medical Assistants
• Completes clinical duties as per policy and procedures • Proficiently documents data into electronic health record
- Oversees the care team huddle to improve team communication, focus on quality indicators and encourage the satisfaction of care gaps
- Trains and monitors clinical staff to ensure the following: competencies with patient care activities and adherence to the work schedule and assigned team responsibilities
- Ensures completion of the MA competency checklist and mandatory trainings for the MA team
- Provides coaching and mentoring of the MA team
- Monitors MA pools for task open order tracking process
- Maintains lab standards in accordance with accreditation requirements-oversees the accurate completion of quality controls on CLIA waived labs
- Vaccine management- monitors and oversees refrigerator temperature, logs and inventory
- Performs count of stock medications and orders medication supplies based on center needs
- Performs 90-day and annual performance evaluations incorporating the monthly chart audits and feedback for from the office manager
- Performs direct patient care when needed. Schedules and completes nurse visit as needed or when recommended by the provider
- Develops and maintains a strong collaborative relationship with the Office Manager to include joint meetings, huddles and project collaboration
- Monitors patient portal activity, responds timely to requests and comments, as appropriate
- Strictly adheres to all Evara Health, HIPAA, HRSA, State, Federal and accreditation agency rules and regulations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Nursing process

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- Required: Minimum one (1) year as an LPN in a healthcare setting with some supervisory experience
- Preferred: More than two (two) years of experience in a health center setting as a supervisor
LICENSES, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION:
- Active and unencumbered LPN License in the State of Florida
- Current CPR Certification

Salary : $41,300 - $52,300
