The ideal vet assistant may have previous animal care experience.
- Main duties of Vet Assistant include taking patient histories, knowledge of appropriate vaccinations and basic medical knowledge; client communication
- Help rooms flow efficiently so Veterinarians run on time
- Assist with blood draws, ultrasound, xray, and other procedures/tasks
- Assist with surgical patients: patient recovery, set up of surgery suite, client check in
- Perform dental xrays and cleaning
- Ability to explain medications and medical recommendations to pet owners
- Animal care and handling
- Working as a team, multi-tasking
- Pay is negotiable and based on experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
