The position manages and maintains a wide variety of marketing programs and communications for the Sports & Entertainment (SED) and Creative Services Divisions (CSD) of Events DC. This person, under guidance of the Director of Marketing for SED & CSD, will be responsible for multiple tasks that are essential to the success of Events DC’s marketing efforts. The Marketing Manager will be the key internal contact with various stakeholders (internal and external) to prepare, present and execute marketing and promotional campaigns for multiple Events DC and client events and other special projects.
Examples of specific tasks include event marketing campaign development and management, copywriting (press releases, media advisories, social media messages, etc.) e-mail marketing, presentations, digital marketing campaigns and analytics, media relations and agency management. This position supports strategic direction of annual Events DC business plans and provides marketing to support sales goals and initiatives.
