Payment Manager- ACH
The Payment Manager job ensures the Automated Clearing House (ACH) Operations Control group maintains appropriate standards and controls, adheres to regulatory and National Automated Clearinghouse Association (NACHA) rules requirements, and meets processing schedules to ensure that the department operates in a safe and sound manner and meets processing objectives. This role has additional responsibility to remain current on operational, regulatory, and NACHA rule changes that affect ACH participants and be representative on cross functional teams tackling new company initiatives that have ACH or payment-related impacts.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Establishes and documents a schedule for the prompt handling of exception conditions.
- Compiles and accurately reports Originating Depository Financial Institution (ODFI) and Receiving Depository Financial Institutions (RDFI) transactional data requested by management.
- Identifies and implements operational controls to insure minimum loss to the Bank.
- Evaluates the efficiency of operations and revises existing practices to promote greater efficiency.
- Performs maintenance of the Bank's ACH policy and program supporting development and maintenance of ACH risk assessments for ACH originator/receiver business units and periodic reporting to the Operational Risk Committee of the Board on performance of the Bank's ACH operations per Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) regulatory requirements.
