Job Category: Analytics Job Description: The Actuarial Department of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for a Catastrophe Analyst to join our London office. The Catastrophe Analyst will work alongside experienced Commercial Property underwriters, actuaries, and cat modelers, to provide pricing support for Commercial Property businesses both within US and internationally. This position is an integral part of a dynamic team, providing underwriters with quantitative risk assessment that informs them of the current and potential impact due to natural catastrophes. In addition, this position will have the opportunity to work with other units such as Technology, Claims, and Operations on cross functional projects. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Quantify natural catastrophe risks using catastrophe modeling and other internal external data sources Support catastrophe event responses Monitor PML accumulations and pricing adequacy; Escalate anomalies to Management Continuous improvement through automation to improve speed and accuracy of analytical tools using VBA, SQL, etc. Research and answer inquiries from management team Qualifications, Education & Experience: At least five years or more of relevant industry experience Advanced aptitude with AIR and/or RMS catastrophe models Excellent programming experience with Python and SQL Bachelor’s in STEM major or related discipline Excellent problem solver: apply logic and reasoning to identify pros/cons of possible solutions Experience with Eurasian commercial property business Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience presenting to underwriting and management #LI-Hybrid Type: Regular Time Type: Full time Primary Location: London Additional Locations:
